Job Description:

As a social worker at MK Skills Specialist Ltd, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals in need. Here are the responsibilities and qualifications for this position:

Responsibilities:

• Review client background information and conduct interviews to gather case history for intake reports.
• Assess clients' skill strengths and needs to develop personalized action plans, providing necessary support throughout.
• Facilitate referrals to other social services and assist clients in accessing community resources such as legal, medical, financial aid, housing, employment, and transportation.
• Offer counseling and supervision to clients in group homes and halfway houses, aiding in pre-release and release planning.
• Participate in client selection and program admission processes.
• Implement various community and social service programs, including life skills workshops, substance abuse treatment, behavior management, and youth services, under professional supervision.
• Monitor client progress, provide support, and address difficulties or problems as they arise.
• Evaluate treatment program effectiveness through tracking behavioral changes and responses to interventions.
• Provide assistance and advice to recipients of social assistance and pensions.
• Offer crisis intervention and emergency shelter services.
• Organize and deliver specific services within the community.

Skills/Employer Requirements/Education:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Education: Completion of a college or university program in social work, child and youth care, psychology, or other related social science or health discipline.
